The End of The Fit Shack – Tis No More

The EndOk, this day has been coming for a long while now and it’s time. Yep, it’s time to say Good-Bye to The Fit Shack.

Ok, ok, don’t get all upset about it now, it’ll all be fine. I mean, here’s the thang:

I’m all about taking effortless, inspired action, action that is inspired from within (In Spirit = Inspiration, get it? ;) ). Lately, well, for about the past 6 months or so, ever since I had that a-ha moment that I spoke about on my last telecall, I have been having a difficult time with my inspiration to write regularly here at The Fit Shack, and well…nothing I ever want is upstream – nothing.

If I’m struggling then I’m swimming upstream and so if I’m struggling to write at The Fit Shack then I’m swimming upstream. If I’m inspired to write and letting the ideas flow, all of those millions of ideas and creative thoughts that stream through my consciousness, things about positivity, deliberate creation, inspiration, spirituality, then I’m good to go.

Same goes for creating a healthy, fit, strong, toned, sexy, feel-good body (hey, did ja know that life is supposed to feel good? that it’s supposed to be fun and easy?). If you’re struggling to get fit, forcing yourself every which way to “be different”, well then how in the heck are you ever going to keep that up? Is it any wonder that if you ever have lost weight that you gained it all (plus some!) back?

Joke? – It’s April 1st After All

Now, I realize that I’m writing this here on April 1st, April Fools Day, but this is no joke. Well, not exactly….

Here’s the Real Deal:

Ok now, clean yourself up, dust yourself off out of the heap you fell into when I said I was ceasing The Fit Shack. Here’s the real deal: The Fit Shack will go on but not exactly as you may have known it.

Who Will You Be 6 Months From Today?

Whatever you are doing right now is action you are taking to create who you will be 6 months from now. If you’re still telling yourself that you’ll work on losing the weight next week or after your vaction, after Easter, after the next holiday season (um, that’s only 8 months away…), then who are you creating for your future?

It’s already April 1st and if you made a New Year’s resolution to lose weight and get fit, where are you today? Did you take action on that commitment? If so then you’re likely about 20 pounds lighter by now, which is awesome! If you didn’t though, then where could you be today if you’d taken action then? Where could you be 3 months from now if you take action today?

So the thing is that I am not the same person I was when I started this site 2+ years ago on March 7, 2007. In fact I’m not the same person I was 6 months ago when I had my a-ha moment.

When I started The Fit Shack my focus was on spreading the word on the gunk that’s present in the processed food supply. I was also very focused on forced action rather than effortless action, in fact my whole life I’ve been in the space of forced action.

Since I’ve been in an entire personal growth and development process since I was a kid though (yeah, I was reading Wayne Dyer when I was 10), it makes sense that I continue to evolve and grow. I’m into conscious living, conscious choices, deliberate creation, and metaphysics. None of this is anything new to me, I first heard the phrase “you create your reality” in the early 90’s. Fact is, you create your reality whether or not you do it deliberately.

Even though I was aware of this fact intellectually I still knocked around forcing and struggling, and in relation to the topic here at The Fit Shack, I was forcing myself to take healthy actions to lose weight and get fit. After my a-ha moment though, and really over the past 2 years but especially the past 6 months, I’ve been moving towards where I am now, which is living from inspiration and effortlessness.

Does this mean I don’t take action? No, lol, but the action I take is inspired action and instead of Forcing myself to lose weight I now do it without effort, with joy, with ease, and that given me a loss of 9 pounds in March. My size 12 pants are loose now, I’m back in the 140’s, and if impatience comes up I remind myself that I’m more intent on enjoying the journey today than on waiting until tomorrow to live with fun and joy. After all, if you do not enjoy the journey, how in the world will you ever stay with that journey??

There is no way that an unhappy journey can end in a happy outcome – Abraham-Hicks

So What’s It All Mean?

What this all means is that, I guess it’s kind of an April Fools joke, the way I started this post. ;) Well, come on, it is April Fools Day after all. However, what I need to do is change my focus for The Fit Shack and this means that I’ll actually be inspired to write more often because I will be congruent on the inside with the outcome I wish to achieve on the outside (writing posts here at The Fit Shack).

Doesn’t mean that it has to be a major change but I do need to revamp, clean up, and get my focus inline. In all actuality, if you’ve only been reading here a short time not a whole lot will seem different to you, but I have a whole slew of posts in the archives that if I wrote them today would be written in a little different way, but that’s ok. Whoever resonates with those older posts today is on the same wavelength I was in the past and that’s fine – the posts are still about conscious health and fitness however I was in a space of forcing.

I’ve always been focused on positivity and conscious, healthy fitness from the inside out (The Fit Shack has never been your ordinary diet and exercise blog), however where before I was forcing myself to take outside action with many of the experiments I did on myself and wrote about for you, today I would not do an experiment unless I were first in alignment with the outcome I wished to achieve.

There’s a ton of information out there on dieting, exercises to do, pills to take, food to eat, and calories to count, but it’s a simple fact that there will never ever be enough forced action you could take in this entire Universe that will get you slim, trim, and fit if you are not a vibrational match to that slim, trim, fit body on the inside. You might lose weight but you will revert back to your old ways if you do not get up to speed on the inside.

Now could you force and struggle and battle your way down the scale and continue to force and battle yourself to stay there for the rest of your life? Sure, you could do that, but is that any fun? Does that feel good to battle with the scale, with your body, with food? How much energy and life force will you need to exert in order to force this to happen? Heck, doesn’t sound like any fun to me, and I’ve got personal experience with it so I know it’s no fun. ;)

Continue On, More to Come!

So this is simply a prelude to what I’m up to. Again, if you’ve only been here a short time then you won’t notice a huge change because I’ll continue to write about fitness for body, mind, and spirit, so that’s not going to change. There are simply a few tweaks I need to make in my focus that will make a massive difference in my alignment (the inner always matches the outer – always) and I’ll probably write another post or two about this process while I’m going through the revamp here at The Fit Shack.

And as a very simple example of the difference between force and ease, of what it’s like to take inspired action – this post was very easy for me to write, where before I decided to take this route (yesterday upon a realization) I was having a heck of a time even coming to my site to attempt to write. How’s that feel when you’re telling yourself you want to lose weight but you completely avoid taking the healthy actions that will get you the result you say you want? And why wouldn’t you avoid those actions because they feel “too hard” for you to take – because you’re not in alignment on the inside….

So stay tuned, and Shine ON with your conscious fitness in body, mind, and spirit!

I know what you’re going through. For months I struggled to bring myself to the keyboard. With a simple shift in my perspective and my purpose, the words are coming more easily.
