Why You Should NOT Read The Fit Shack

I’ve got an interesting topic for you today, my thoughts on why I think you should not read The Fit Shack. Sure, I know this sounds really odd, but I think you’ll get what I’m saying re: feeling stress if you’re not ready to change at this moment.

I also share with you how much weight I lost since last Monday, as well as inches. It’s all in my video post, check it out!

I’m still getting the hang of these video posts - I did so many takes of this video today that I started to lose my voice and I decided that I’d just post what I had here. So does that make sense to you? The goal here is to help you motivate yourself in a positive direction, so let’s get moving! :)

By the way, stay tuned for more on the topic of stress because guess what - I’m starting another experiment on myself. Yes, it’s true, I’ll start a new series this Wednesday, so watch for that.

Are You Ready?

I hope you enjoyed my video post and that you’re ready to take action in your life to change your lifestyle and get healthy and fit in body, mind, and spirit.

Remember they all work together, and those quick fix “solutions” that tell you that you can continue to eat whatever you want and still lose weight sure don’t help you build a healthy lifestyle, a healthy lifestyle filled with whole foods, regular exercise, positive thinking, self-love, and tons of energy.

Even though fad diets are popular, I think most people want to know the truth about health, fitness and weight loss. And they usually know it when they hear it. Yes, it can be stressful because once you know it’s hard to just put your head back in the sand and do life the same way again - and changing lifelong habits is hard work.

Great video. And great job getting the word out about the truth. Keep at it.

You’re so right about no quick fixes. It truly is a lifestyle change (if I only had a nickel for every time I’ve said that). And you can’t work on just one aspect. Like you said, you need to be fit physically, mentally, and spiritually to truly be healthy.

I have had seizures for about 10 years. Last year I took a cruise through the panama Canal and had msg headaches 5 times a day. When I got home I eneded up in the hospital for almost a week. When I got home i read Excitotoxins by Blaylock and stopped eating all refined foods. it has now been 1 year and 7 months since I have had a seizure. Mind you In ten years I had never gone longer than 6 weeks without a seizure. I had been telling the neurologists that It felt like something was building up in my body and reach a certain point and I would have a seizure. Of course the doctors didn’t listen to me. I am now seizure free and will not have another one. Let me tell you it is not easy eliminating excitotoxins from your diet but it can be done and for me the benefits are worth the effort.

Great video post. Most bloggers wouldn’t directly give reasons not to read their blog. :)

I think your perspective is something I need to use more for my blog. I focus too much on making people take action, not thinking too much about if people are ready to make the change.

    Hi Lori, thanks!

You’re so right, it’s hard to put your head back in the sand when you know what’s really going on. Now that I know how MSG is hidden behind so many different names I cannot look at that oh so tasty (MSG is a taste enhancer) processed food the same!

Hi Cynthia, exactly, and that’s ok you’ve told yourself that it’s gotta be a lifestyle change more than once, if you haven’t gotten there yet the present moment is always the best time to make changes. :)

    Hi Larry,

Wow, thank you so much for sharing your experience with MSG and seizures. I read stories about others who have had the same experience but it’s always better to actually hear it first hand.

Good for you for taking control of your own health, listening to your body, and knowing something wasn’t right. The FDA certainly won’t look out for ya and like you learned, some doctors may not even be aware of the debilitating effects that processed food can have on the public.

Thanks again for commenting Larry, I’m glad you’re living with optimum health now and off of those gunky, processed foods. :)

    Hi Yongho,

Thanks very much! And yeah, there’s a big difference between someone wanting to lose weight (for example) and being ready to succeed at it by changing their actions in their lifestyle.

You can want something forever but if you’re not ready to change your actions to get it, it remain a wish. Same goes for me, too! ;)
