A Quick Weight Loss Update

I’ve been working on another video post for you and my intention was to have that posted along with an update for you on my health and fitness progress over the past week.

Well we’re already at Thursday and I don’t have the video ready to go yet (let me tell ya, one take is much easier than split scenes!), so I thought I better at least give you a quick update, just to let you know that I didn’t fall back into emotional eating or anything like that.

Since last Monday I dropped another 1/2 pound, which puts me at 149, so that’s a loss of 5 pounds in the past 2 weeks. I also lost 2.625 inches last week, which makes a big difference in how my clothes fit. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again – I’m much more interested in how my clothes fit and how I feel than in the numer on the scale. Sure, I want to see it move (and it always does when you persist) but some weeks I lose more inches than pounds.

These are my stats as of Monday (I don’t like to weigh myself every day) and my clothes are even looser today - great thing because I have a closet full of clothes I want to get back into! As far as my exercise accomplishments, I did 5 cardio sessions in my target heart rate zone and 2 body sculping sessions. I didn’t do as many ab crunches (those are something I’m doing on my own anyway, there are different ab exercises in the 6WBMO program) however did do 2 days of 75 crunches each.

So that’s my quick update for you – I’m still eating clean, eating whole, healthy foods and feeling great. Above even the weight loss, I just love how much better I feel eating clean, real, whole foods – the processed foods give me quick weight gain and really bring me down overall.

Now I have had some bouts of thinking about my old habits this week and those thoughts pop up in the evening, which I why I wrote yesterday’s post for you. So I can’t say that it’s super easy for me all the time, but my mindset shift really did help. Once you get your mind in gear and are ready to make those healthy changes in your lifestyle, nothing can stop you unless you stop yourself.

Ah, reminds me of how great I felt when I lost 20+ pounds a few years back. It was pretty amazing how a simple thing like changing the foods I eat improved my mood!

Congratulations on your progress so far. :)
