Your Weight Loss Mindset - First Video Post!
I have something new for you today, my first video post! It’s my first time doing this and it isn’t perfect but I could be at this all week trying to get perfection, and I’m already tired of it (LOL). I’ve also included some notes following my video post for a few more details.
My video is an update on last Monday’s post about the fact that you’ve got to choose different actions in your life if your current actions aren’t giving you the results that you want.
In that post I shared that I had a major mindset shift last week and I got into a successful, weight loss mindset and since then, I’ve made some progress…
Follow Up
Here are some stats and more details about what I did last week to achieve my weight loss success along with more info on the programs I talked about in my video.
Stats since 6/16/08
- -4.5 pounds, current weight 150.5
- -.125 inches, current inches 284.25
Exercise
- 7, 30-minute cardio sessions in my THR zone (wore my heart rate monitor). Note: I realized today after checking my 6WBMO black book (comes with your kit) that I worked out too much! The 6WBMO recommends at most 5 cardio sessions per week. You really do eat more and work out less with this program. Perhaps I would have lost more weight if I’d stuck to my normal routine of just 5 cardios a week.
- 2, strength training sessions, one upper body, one lower body
- 50 crunches a day, 6 days (this is something I do on my own, it’s not a part of the 6WBMO which gives you other ab exercises to do with your body sculpting/strength training routines).
Food
A main dish that I ate of lot of last week was Chicken Ghallaba, which is one of my favorites. If you follow me on Twitter you might remember me tweeting about the times that I’ve made it.
6WBMO
I talked about the 6-Week Body Makeover plan in my video, the lifestyle plan that I often blog about here at The Fit Shack. You can see if it’s available in the eMiniMall below or find it here.
Shrink Yourself
You can check out my 12-week series on my emotional eating experiment with Shrink Yourself if you’re an emotional eater or you can go directly to the Shrink Yourself website for more information.
Thanks for Watching!
I hope you enjoyed my first video post. I’m not an expert in video posting but it was fun and I look forward to bringing you more video posts in the future. And if you have any questions about what I mentioned in my video please feel free to leave a comment.

Thanks Mark! It was fun making it.
Hi Michelle,
Yeah, the food I eat is quite tasty, but that’s because I learned how to cook with herbs and spices. Oh, and it’s not a diet (lol
), but a lifestyle - if I go back to the processed foods I’ll regain the weight because they gunk up my metabolism and besides that, they create that whole food craving cycle again.
Once I get to my goal though, I’ll experiment with adding in other things, like grapes for example. They are too high in natural sugar so aren’t a part of the weight loss portion.
That was very good! Way better than I could do with a video post!

Hi Trisha,
Thanks a lot! I did several takes and ended up with this one, plan on doing more, too, so stay tuned!
I second Trisha’s sentiments. You seemed so experienced in front of the camera, way more than I do anyway.
