Weight Loss Motivation?? - Ebook Poll Update

Just a quick reminder about the poll I put up for ya last week. So far you’ve told me that you’d most like to have an Ebook about weight loss motivation, and boy can I ever relate to the topic of motivation! ;)

Weight loss motivation is one of those things that can remain steady if you have a veerrry strong reason to lose weight, like when your doctor tells you that if you don’t change your lifestyle you’re not going to be there to see your child graduate high school in 2 years.

I’ve met so many people who lost weight because they were motivated to be there for their kids but there are other strong motivators, too - not everyone has kids after all. Overall what I think is the biggest struggle when it comes to weight loss motivation (it’s been my biggest challenge) is maintaining your motivation day by day, day in and day out during those moments when no one is looking and you just don’t feel like doing what you need to do to reach your weight loss goal.

Cast Your Vote

I’ve put the poll up in the sidebar now to make it easier for you to vote and if you didn’t already vote in last week’s post you can easily do so below vote in the sidebar (6/19: I removed the poll from this post, it can only be visible once on page - JavaScript issue).

Right now there are over 400 of you subscribed to The Fit Shack’s RSS feed (yeah, thanks! :) ) and I’d really love to hear more of you weigh in on the topic. So get on a votin’ and soon I’ll let you know what I’ll be putting in that Ebook. Thank you very much for your input!

The poll doesn’t work for me. Sidebar version that is. I’m using Firefox 3 and even though I have a choice selected it says I don’t. :)

    Hi Andrew,

I haven’t upgraded to ff3 yet, I like to wait until all the bugs are fixed in major software upgrades so I’m still using v2.

As far as this plugin goes, the author may need to upgrade it - I’ll contact him and let him know about your experience.

What happens in IE, can you vote there? If not leave me a comment and tell me what your vote is, or you can email me if you would feel more comfortable. I’d really like your input in my poll, thanks! :)

    Hi Jewel,

I’m so happy to hear that, thank you very much! That’s what I aim to do here - The Fit Shack definitely isn’t your typical diet type blog…well, I don’t believe in dieting so that makes sense, LOL. :)

Thank you very much for your feedback Jewel, you don’t know how much that means to me.

    Hi Andrew,

Found out that it’s not a ff3 issue, the poll can only be visible once on the page so you can vote in the sidebar poll now, thanks!

An E-book sounds like an excellent idea for you, and motivation to exercise is an excellent topic to write about!
