Make Today A Great Day
One thing in life that you have complete control of is your thoughts. Today you can choose to either think loving, motivating, helpful, uplifting, positive thoughts about yourself, your life, and your goals, or you can choose to think negative, draining thoughts. Depending on which thoughts you choose, your emotions will follow.
I bet that if you were given a choice, you’d rather feel up and happy instead of down and sad, without motivation.
Well, you can change your feelings if you change your thoughts!
There are several ways to turn your thoughts around today. In fact, don’t even think about the entire day, just do it 5 minutes at a time. 5 minutes at a time you can change your mind, change what you think.
One way to get your thoughts in a positive groove is by making a mental list of all of the things you have to be grateful for in your life; it’s even better if you write it down. Or you could pick a time, an event in your life when you felt on top of the world focus on that, feeling those same, wonderful feelings now. You could go to the mirror, look yourself in the eye, and tell yourself that you deserve to be happy, that you love you, that you believe in you. Tell yourself everything that you would tell your best friend.
It is most important to remember that your thoughts are in your complete control. Even if you choose to think negative thoughts, if you are aware of the fact that you are choosing to do so, that you are the one doing the thinking, then this awareness can be extremely empowering. By being aware that you are choosing negative thoughts, then it follows that you are the one in control, and you can also choose positive ones.
Staying motivated to stick to your weight loss plan is so much easier when you are in an upbeat, positive frame of mind. You can make today a great day by consciously choosing to think good thoughts about yourself and your life. Focus on the good stuff, no matter how small, and see how this affects your motivation to achieve your weight loss goals.
